COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS featuring locally grown food; and Rick deRoque, Biggest Looser contestant will demonstrate his great veggie/chicken chili that helped him loose 160 pounds! 

ENTERTAINMENT: music by Happenstance, the Boomers,  the Drum Circle, and Handmade Moments;

 

8:45-9:30am EcoTour of the recycling center/landfill - 4550 Hwy. 64 West. Those wishing to car pool may meet at the Laurel Park tennis courts at 8:30 a.m.
9:30 am

Cardboard Car Derby safety checks and registration begins at South Lot.

9:30 am

Music by Handmade Moments.

10:00 am Welcome - opening comments.Brief recognition of 9/11. A memorial will remain in the Liberty Garden at Laurel Park throughout the day.
10:30am

Kevin Barnes, Green Magician at the Main Stage.

 

11:00 am

Cardboard Derby begins at the park's south lot (near      the pavillion).

11:15 am

Drum circle at the Main Stage.

11:45am Cooking demo.
Noon Announcements, upcoming events, door prizes. Jack Bell,
assistant to Mayor Townsell, and Judge Scroggin to speak
briefly regarding city and county progress.
12:15pm

The Boomers at the Main Stage.

12:45pm Cooking demo.
1: 00 Pm

Butterfly release, followed by the owl/raptor rehabilitation program. At the Natural Resources area.

1:45pm

Happenstance (featured at many folk festivals) performs
on the Main Stage.

2:00pm Cooking demo.

Kite show - Park Fleming’s trick kites and more. (Seen at
the Main Stage, too!)

2:30pm Kevin Barnes, Green Magician at the Main Stage.
3:30pm Grand prize drawing for a Kindle 3G provided by Best
Buy. (Winner must be present to win.) To enter, just register (one time only) at any one of the three information areas around the park.
3:45pm Wrap up statements.

Exciting Cooking Demo's Featured at this Year's Event.

Cooking shows will take place throughoout the day. The schedule of chefs and types of dishes will be posted at the cooking tent. 

Biggest Loser contestant and Conway resident, Rick deRoque, will demonstrate his famous veggie chicken chili recipe that helped him lose 160 pounds! (You can even grow it in your back yard!. ...most of it, anyway). Visit with Rick as he reveals his secrets.
