OUR GOAL

The goal of Ecofest is to provide respectful, balanced environmental education for all ages and interests in a fun interactive environment. It is our hope that you will walk away with a renewed commitment and understanding that our environment and our lives are all inter-connected. The mre informed, the better choices we are able to make!

Museum on wheels" with 10 interactive exhibits designed to engage visitors in engineering skills.

Cardboard Car Derby

The Cardboard Car Derby will be held on the south parking lot of Laurel Park. 11:00 am start. Bring your lawn chairs and support your favorite team!  Record Number of Cars for 2011!

Happenstance

Drawing upon acoustic music, folk, and Americana primarily, Happenstance plays a melting pot of musical genres, styles, and influences. The goal of every HAPPENSTANCE performance is to get the audience involved in the show and makes sure everyone leaves with a smile on their face and a song in their heart.

Many hands make light work … and make for a better community event… yours are needed!!

Please consider joining the Conway EcoFest  team with the following tasks:

  1. Hospitality: arrange for donations to provide food in the morning (some already lined up), and drinks/ snacks for volunteers the rest of the day
  2. General Volunteers:
    1. several needed for various small jobs prior to event;
    2. help developing exhibits in a variety of sections: Recycling/Waste/Litter, Natural Resources, Transportation, Energy, 
    3. Several volunteers needed for Thursday, Sept. 8; Need assistance to load a van with storage items.
    4. Volunteers needed on Friday, Sept. 9: 
    5. Volunteers for the day of event  (Sept. 10, 2011 in Laurel Park)
  3. Staff for a First Aid Station
  4. Set-Up- Tear Down: beginning on Friday/ Sat .  Help with returning items on Sunday if needed
  5. Trucks/trailers – collecting/preparing bamboo. Help moving items from storage to park and back again.
