Conway EcoFest invites you to the 5th annual festival held at Laurel Park in Conway on Saturday, September 14th from 10:00AM to 3:00PM. This year, please join us to reignite your desire to discover by Cultivating Curiosity! Roam the park with your family and friends while enjoying fun, interactive exhibits for all ages.
A focus in this year's event is the importance of tinkering and creative play in relation to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Curiosity is the first step in exploration and learning, so come out and cultivate yours!
In addition to expanding many sections such as Energy, Health, Agriculture/Cooking, Recycling, and Natural Resources, the 2013 event will feature many new exhibits including a program on ATV safety and responsibility. Visitors can explore connections between the environment and their daily lives while listening to great music and enjoying delicious food!
Teens and Adults will enjoy the expanded car show and marketplace of goods, while children of all ages will have a blast with face painting, kite flying, butterfly release, animals of all kinds, and a myriad of activities, like cooking demonstrations and science experiments for the whole family.
For the first time, Conway EcoFest is offering a pre-festival event on Friday, September 13th. Join us for a Star Party in Laurel Park from 8:00PM to 10:00PM. The University of Central Arkansas' College of Natural Science and Mathematics will have multiple telescopes around the park with trained students and faculty on site to guide you as you peruse the night sky. See first-hand the effect light pollution has on our ability to see the stars while enjoying the beauty of what is visible.
If you would like to participate as an educational exhibitor, marketplace vendor or volunteer, it's not too late! There are many volunteer opportunities before, during and after the event for people of all skill sets and interests.
